Ms. Aikens Gr 2s trip to Vivian Outdoor Resource Centre

<html-blob><p><a href="https://www2.yrdsb.ca/schools-programs/school-programs/outdoor-educatio… Outdoor Resource Centre</a>&nbsp;(VORC)</p><p>The York Region District School Board provides subsidized outdoor education experiences for students in Grades 2, 4 and 7, as per Board Policy and Procedure 350.0, Outdoor Education. All programs correspond directly to classroom learning and will allow your child to engage in hands-on exploration and application of learning while in the outdoors.&nbsp;</p><p>York Region District School Board (YRDSB) covers all costs associated with this trip, including bus transportation to and from the site.&nbsp;</p><p>Details for the trip:&nbsp;</p><ul><li><p>Departure: 10-15 min after the morning bell&nbsp;</p></li><li><p>Return to School: 10-15 min before dismissal&nbsp;</p></li><li><p><a href="https://docs.google.com/document/d/1PE0-wEc7-uMqI8WySC1mMxEsKHUcW5gg3CD… for the weather</u></a>.&nbsp; Each site has a loaning library to support an enjoyable day in all conditions.&nbsp;</p></li><li><p>The program will move indoors in event of extreme weather (Some examples: extreme heat, extreme cold, high winds, thunderstorms);</p></li><li><p>A lunch, snack and water bottle (refillable is preferred). <b>Note: these are nut-free facilities;</b></p></li><li><p>Epi-Pen as per YRDSB Board Policy #661 (where required);</p></li><li><p>Asthma inhaler or other medications (where required);&nbsp;</p></li><li><p>Students will be asked to put technology away for the day.&nbsp;</p></li></ul></html-blob>
